Screen: City: 24:7 is a project that explores the generative cinematic
possibilities in relation with the concept of post-internet city. This
work is a joint research line between Azahara Cerezo and Mario M.
Santamaria.
The first phase of this collaboration began with Comentarios a la
ciudad pantalla (Comments on the screen city), a visual essay that
seeks to establish a dialogue between the flow of the image and
concepts about space and architecture. The project works online and
combines text with real-time refreshed images. These images come from
different sources of webcam, IP cameras, cctv or streaming devices that
circulate throughout the Net. Under the screen city concept and through
real-time vision devices, we approach the Rem Koolhaas’ idea of generic
city. We compose, as a result, a story that comes into tension with the
poetic argument limits of Koolhas.
This project was part of the artistic creation programme of Sala d'Art Jove Barcelona during 2013.

Screen:City:24:7 es un proyecto que explora las posibilidades
cinematográficas generativas en relación al concepto de ciudad
post-internet. Este trabajo es una línea de investigación conjunta
entre Azahara Cerezo y Mario M. Santamaría.
La primera fase de esta colaboración comenzó con Comentarios a la ciudad pantalla,
un ensayo visual que trata de establecer un diálogo entre la imagen
flujo y conceptos sobre espacio y arquitectura. El proyecto funciona de
manera online, combinando texto con imágenes que se actualizan en
tiempo real. Las imágenes en directo pertenecen a diferentes fuentes de
webcam, cámaras IP, cctv o streaming que circulan por la red. Bajo el
concepto de ciudad pantalla nos acercarnos a la idea de ciudad genérica
de Rem Koolhas desde los aparatos de visión en tiempo real. Componiendo
un relato que entra en tensión con los límites de la argumentación
poética de Koolhas.
Este proyecto formó parte del programa de creación artística de Sala d'Art Jove de Barcelona durante el 2013.
